At the forefront of nurturing student entrepreneurship, we conducted the second session of the Student Entrepreneur Startup Workshop Series at Jerusalem College of Engineering, Chennai. This initiative engaged 45 shortlisted students from an initial pool of 100, providing them with hands-on training and insights to build a strong foundation in entrepreneurship. Led by our Founder and CEO, Mr. Shyam Sekar, the session focused on practical tools and strategies for turning ideas into successful ventures.

The session included two critical components: Product Development and Innovation by Murali Sundaram, and Opportunity Sizing and Business Model Canvas (BMC), where students participated in hands-on activities and presentations. These exercises helped refine their thought processes, emphasizing the importance of validating ideas before developing prototypes to improve their startup success quotient.

The workshop was highly appreciated, offering students a deeper understanding of entrepreneurship and innovation.

Jerusalem College of Engineering, Chennai, recently hosted an engaging Guest Lecture titled “Career in Digital Marketing” for their management students. Igniting Entrepreneurial Spirit at Sairam Institutions, a guest lecture was conducted at Sairam Engineering College and Sairam Institute of Technology, engaging over 200 motivated students. The session inspired and encouraged a spirit of entrepreneurship among the youth. The students exhibited exceptional discipline, curiosity and enthusiasm, demonstrating their potential to transform innovative ideas into impactful startup ventures.

This initiative, conducted under the Swavalambi Bharat Abhiyan (Self-Reliant Bharat Movement), aims to empower students to shift their focus from being job seekers to becoming job creators. By fostering innovation, problem-solving and entrepreneurial thinking, the program equips students with the confidence and skills necessary to contribute to India’s journey towards self-reliance.
